Limba engleză #007 Admitere Academia de Poliție 2026

Question 1

By the time they ….. New York, they ….. for four hours.

Accepted Answer

C) reach / will have been travelling. *By the time* cu referire viitoră cere prezentul simplu în propoziția temporală, *reach*, iar durata unei acțiuni continue finalizate chiar înainte de acel moment se exprimă cu viitorul perfect continuu, *will have been travelling*.

Answer

reached / will be travelling

Answer

reach / will travel

Answer

will reach / will have travelled

Question 2

Unless you ….. really hard, you ….. the match without a doubt.

Accepted Answer

B) train / will lose. *Unless* înseamnă „dacă nu”, deci propoziția introdusă de el stă deja la prezent afirmativ, *train*, fără altă negație; consecința ia forma viitorului, *will lose* — dacă nu te antrenezi, vei pierde meciul. *Won't lose* ar inversa greșit sensul logic al condiției.

Answer

train / won't lose

Answer

don't train / lose

Answer

will train / will lose

Question 3

….., she ….. me her permission to leave the hospital.

Accepted Answer

B) Had the doctor been asked / would have given. Condiționala de tip 3 inversată, fără *if*, se formează cu *Had* plus subiect plus participiul trecut pasiv, *Had the doctor been asked*, urmată de *would have given* în principală. Combinațiile cu *were* sau cu forme neconjugate corect ale participiului nu respectă structura inversiunii de tip 3.

Answer

Were the doctor been asked / would give

Answer

Were the doctor asked / would have given

Answer

Had the doctor ask / would give

Question 4

Do you think that if we ….. an electric car, we …… more environmentally-friendly?

Accepted Answer

D) had / would be. Condiționala de tip 2 (ipoteză prezentă puțin probabilă) cere trecutul simplu în propoziția *if*, *had*, și *would* plus infinitiv scurt în principală, *would be*. Propoziția *if* nu poate conține niciodată *would*, ceea ce elimină celelalte variante.

Answer

have / would have been

Answer

would have / would be

Answer

would have had / would be

Question 5

"If I were you, I'd give serious consideration to changing jobs," the counsellor said to me.

Accepted Answer

C) The counsellor told me that if he were me, he would give serious consideration to changing jobs.. La raportare, o condițională de tip 2 (*If I were you, I'd give*) își păstrează structura — *if he were me, he would give* —, fără să treacă la tipul 3 sau la alt mod. Celelalte variante schimbă greșit fie condiționala, fie modul verbal din principală.

Answer

The counsellor told me that if he had been me, he will give serious consideration to changing jobs.

Answer

The counsellor told me that if he were me, he had given serious consideration to changing jobs.

Answer

The counsellor told me that if he had been me, he should give serious consideration to changing jobs.
