Limba engleză #011 Admitere Academia de Poliție 2024

Question 1

............ to so many people in a single night.

Accepted Answer

B) Never have I been introduced. „Never” la începutul propoziției, cu sens de frecvență, declanșează inversiunea subiect-auxiliar corectă și păstrează sensul pasiv („have I been introduced”). „No sooner” ar cere o propoziție corelată cu „than”, iar „rarely have I introduced” schimbă vocea din pasivă în activă, cu alt subiect logic al acțiunii.

Answer

On no account have I been introduced

Answer

No sooner have I been introduced

Answer

Rarely have I introduced

Question 2

............ you convince me that you are committed............ I give you my agreement.

Accepted Answer

C) Not until / will. „Not until” în fruntea propoziției declanșează inversiunea în propoziția regentă: „Not until you convince me… will I give you my agreement”. Fără negația „not”, „until” singur nu ar cere inversiune, iar „when”/„only after” nu au sensul restrictiv de „doar după ce” cerut aici.

Answer

When / shall

Answer

Until / will

Answer

Only after / need

Question 3

You............ permission for this, didn't you ?

Accepted Answer

B) did get. Întrebarea disjunctivă negativă „didn't you?” cere o afirmație pozitivă la trecut în propoziția regentă; forma emfatică „did get” (trecutul simplu cu „did” pentru accentuare) este cea care se potrivește, nu prezentul „get” sau negativul „didn't get”.

Answer

get

Answer

didn't get

Answer

could get

Question 4

They don't want a house, they want a flat.

Accepted Answer

D) It's not a house they want, it's a flat.. Propoziția clivată corectă păstrează sensul inițial: nu vor casă, vor apartament — „It's not a house they want, it's a flat.” Celelalte variante fie inversează sensul, fie resping ambele opțiuni deodată („neither… nor”), fie omit al doilea verb necesar structurii.

Answer

It's not a house they want, not a flat.

Answer

It's neither a house they want nor a flat.

Answer

It's a house they want, not a flat.

Question 5

In order to ensure that your essay meets all formal requirements you must............ it when you finish it.

Accepted Answer

B) proof-read. „Proof-read” înseamnă a verifica un text pentru greșeli înainte de predare, exact acțiunea potrivită pentru a te asigura că un eseu respectă cerințele formale. „Summarize” înseamnă a rezuma, „highlight” a evidenția, iar „rewrite” a rescrie — niciunul nu descrie o verificare finală.

Answer

summarize

Answer

highlight

Answer

rewrite
